HIBAPRESS
Foreign pages and accounts on social media published "photos and truncated clips from a short theatrical film previously posted on YouTube, presenting them in a misleading and malicious manner as acts of violence and torture attributed to security personnel against protesters in Morocco."
Refuting these allegations tainted with deception and misinformation, a security source clarified that the published clips and scenes are part of a fictional film unrelated to reality, and had been circulated on social media platforms for more than a year, even before the recent demonstrations and protests began."
The same source stressed that the false comments published by foreign accounts, accompanied by these clips, are part of an exposed propaganda campaign that does not deceive anyone, and that the security services will confront it with a comprehensive approach that combines informing and correcting in a way that consolidates the right to information and enhances the sense of security, and between legal monitoring and technical investigations that help diagnose the identity of the parties behind these misleading allegations.
The security source concluded his statement by saying that the information awareness of the security services will continue, with the aim of monitoring and confronting all false news and propaganda campaigns that attempt to undermine the foundations of public order.
