HIBAPRESS – I. El-Smlali
Moroccan artist Saad Lamjarred sent a message full of love and loyalty to Lebanese artist Fadl Shaker, following the latter's step of surrendering to the Lebanese authorities, an event that brought his name back to the forefront of the artistic and media scene after years of absence.
Lamjarred posted a photo of Fadl Shaker on his "Instagram" account, writing under it sincere words that received wide interaction from their audience, in which he said: "My love Fadl… You are not just an artist to me, but my dear brother whom I carry in my heart with love and loyalty that do not change. I knew you closely, and I saw in you sincerity in everything, and the kindness of the heart that you feel in your voice and in your presence." He added: "Your voice is always honest, reaching the heart directly, and leaving an unforgettable effect. I haven't forgotten you a day, my love Fadl, nor have you been absent from my prayers at all times." The Moroccan artist concluded his words by praying for Shaker, saying: "I ask God to relieve you and return you to us safely as we knew you… great in your art, humanity, and sincerity. Joy will return to you soon, my dear, and our days will shine with your return. Lamjarred's message came days after Fadl Shaker surrendered himself to the Lebanese army at the entrance to the Ain al-Hilweh camp in the city of Sidon, after more than 12 years of hiding from view, where absentee sentences of imprisonment had been issued against him." This human interaction from Saad Lamjarred comes in conjunction with his latest artistic collaboration with Muhammad Shaker, Fadl Shaker's son, in a duet song entitled "Sahran Habibi".
