The National Airports Office has launched a new phase of modernization through an ambitious project for comprehensive digital transformation.
This project includes restructuring the cybersecurity system, digitizing operations, data governance, and enhancing the passenger experience, with the aim of preparing Moroccan airports to keep pace with the performance and safety challenges of the future. The National Airports Office places digital transformation at the heart of operational performance, security, and the customer experience, with the goal of making Moroccan airports smart and flexible platforms capable of adapting to future technological and security challenges. This ambition is embodied through three main axes: starting with a comprehensive redesign of the cybersecurity strategy, including all information systems and operational technologies (IT & OT) of airport infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive protection of sensitive operations and equipment. Then digitizing operations and data governance, whether related to operations or professions, with the establishment of an integrated system for data governance and analysis within a clear and coordinated institutional engineering, which enhances control of information and real-time decision-making and improves the collective performance of the institution, as well as the inclusion of digitizing the passenger journey as a key lever within the "customer experience" project. This strategy aims to simplify routes, adapt interactions to the needs of passengers, and improve the quality of services at all air terminals. To lead this transformation, the National Airports Office has launched a competition to recruit its Director of Information Systems, in order to lead the information and digital systems strategy, which is a strategic position that requires high competencies from state engineers or doctors in computer science, with solid experience in managing complex information systems. This recruitment represents a pivotal stage in the office's strategy towards making Moroccan airports a model of performance and innovation. Through this upcoming structural digital transformation, the National Airports Office affirms its pioneering role in modernizing the national air sector and qualifying Morocco to keep pace with the major deadlines of international air transport.
