HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Al-Baz
The security services in the Italian city of Bologna arrested two Moroccan youths, aged 21 and 31, on the grounds of their involvement in cases related to drug trafficking.
This security operation came after the police received repeated complaints from local traders regarding suspicious activity in a neighborhood of the city, specifically around the "Ex-Fabbriani" park and the commercial area on "Colombo" street. After a surveillance operation, a four-wheel drive car of the "Range Rover" type, which the suspects were using in their movements to promote drugs, was monitored. During the arrest, one of the accused tried to resist the security elements violently, while the other was arrested without any clashes being recorded. The operation resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine prepared for promotion, along with a sum of money suspected of being from illegal trade proceeds. Preliminary investigations revealed that the persons concerned had prior criminal records, having previously been involved in cases related to drugs, violence, and theft. They have been placed under custody, by order of the Public Prosecutor, pending the completion of the investigation.
