The debate over the fate of the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca has been settled, after it was officially decided to continue opening it to the Wydad and Raja teams until the next international break.
The decision came after a meeting chaired by the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region in the presence of sports sector officials, where the readiness of "Donor" to host official matches was confirmed until the comprehensive maintenance begins before the 2025 African Cup of Nations. Abdul Salam Belqchour, president of the professional league, explained in radio statements that the ongoing works fall within the routine maintenance of the stadium's pitch, and not a comprehensive renovation, which allowed its continued use at present. With this decision, the Wydad and Raja derby returns to its historical stronghold, Mohammed V, in addition to hosting the Wydad match against Asante Kotoko in the Confederation Cup.
