HIBAPRESS – Salé
The residents of Saguia el Hamra Street in the Battana neighborhood, in front of Al-Faqih Al-Tetouani Secondary School, are experiencing a state of concern and resentment due to an unlicensed cafe that has turned into a den of delinquency and drug use, in the absence of decisive intervention from the local authorities, headed by the head of the Ninth Administrative Annex.
Despite the succession of residents' complaints and limited security interventions, the cafe continues its activity, and even dangerous materials are promoted, and children and adolescents are exploited, in addition to shocking scenes of underage girls using drugs. The silence of the local authority and the absence of any decision to close the cafe or withdraw its license, if any, raises the astonishment of the residents, especially after repeated clashes and behaviors that threaten the security of families and the stalking of the neighborhood's children with the dangers of delinquency were recorded. In contrast, the residents were surprised by the rapid closure of a butcher shop in the neighborhood on the pretext of the absence of a license, which they considered a duality in the application of the law. While the closure of a simple shop was expedited, the controversial cafe is left open despite its danger. The neighborhood residents warn that this discrimination in dealing may lead to a state of social tension, demanding that the governor of Salé and the security wali intervene urgently, and hold those responsible for this neglect accountable, to protect their security and the stability of their neighborhood.
