HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Today's oral question session in the House of Representatives witnessed an extensive discussion about the training of religious cadres and the role of specialized institutions in enhancing the qualitative qualification of Quran memorizers.
This came after the intervention of a number of members of parliament who questioned the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs about the outcome of training in this field, considering that proficiency in Quranic readings is one of the mainstays of preserving the Moroccan religious identity built on accuracy and scientific discipline. In his response to the MPs' questions, the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Tawfiq, confirmed that the Kingdom has become available with a significant stock of qualified Quran memorizers thanks to accumulated efforts in training. The Minister stated that "The Mohammed VI Institute should have a large number of Quran memorizers proficient in the seven and ten readings," explaining that this institution has become an essential space for training a new generation of memorizers according to high standards that combine scientific mastery and systematic control.
