Marrakech – Mohamed Daher
The Public Prosecution at the Primary Court of Marrakech decided on Monday, October 13th, to prosecute four youths in custody and place them in Al-Odaya prison for inciting the commission of riots and chaos through social media platforms, coinciding with the protests of the z group.
The judicial police officers in charge of cybercrimes, in a precise and well-executed security operation, had previously arrested four suspects in the city of Marrakech, who are suspected of involvement in inciting riots via social media. The operation came after in-depth technical investigations and a precise electronic follow-up of the suspects' activities, where their digital movements were monitored and their location accurately determined before they were arrested in the city of Marrakech. The detainees were transferred to the headquarters of the Marrakech security directorate, in order to subject them to an in-depth investigation by the competent authorities, in order to determine the extent of their activity, and to uncover their possible connections with other parties or entities, whether inside or outside the country. This operation comes within the framework of the continuous efforts exerted by the security services in the city of Marrakech, to secure the digital space and confront all forms of electronic incitement that aim to undermine public security and destabilize stability.
