US President Donald Trump affirmed on Tuesday, the day after a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, to consolidate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, that he would decide what he sees as "right" for the future of the Palestinians and the besieged and devastated Gaza Strip.
Trump signed with the leaders of Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday a Gaza agreement document, which he mediated and resulted in a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and the exchange of all living hostages held in the Strip for Palestinian detainees and prisoners. Trump said from the plane that was carrying him back to Washington, "Many support the one-state solution, and some prefer the two-state solution. We will see." The American president added, "I haven't commented on that yet… I will decide what I see as right, but in coordination with other countries."
