A total of 2805 projects and operations were completed in the Taounate region between 2005 and 2025, within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development, with total investments amounting to approximately 1.3 billion dirhams.
Data presented on Tuesday, within the framework of a meeting held by the Taounate Regional Committee for Human Development for the second quarter of 2025, indicated that during the first phase (2005-2010), 318 projects and operations were completed, with a total financial envelope estimated at approximately 60 million dirhams. Regarding the second phase (2011-2018), 798 projects and operations were completed, with investments amounting to 593.4 million dirhams, while the third phase (2019-2025) recorded the completion of 1689 projects and operations, with a total financial envelope estimated at approximately 733 million dirhams. These projects and operations concern the support of infrastructure, basic social services, proximity services, cultural and sports activities, encouraging schooling, combating school dropout, bringing health services closer to citizens, improving maternal and child health, improving income, the economic integration of youth, and supporting and accompanying people in vulnerable situations. Among these projects and operations are the construction, rehabilitation, expansion, and equipment of student residences, the opening, construction, and strengthening of road routes and unclassified roads, the construction of two dialysis centers for patients with kidney failure, the acquisition of clinics, mobile medical units, ambulances, and the repair, construction, rehabilitation, equipping, management, and operation of reception centers, and the establishment of a guidance and support space for youth for the National Initiative for Human Development, whose interventions resulted in the employment of 1128 young men and women seeking work within the framework of the first axis: assisting youth in obtaining employment opportunities. It also relates to the financing of 445 income-generating projects within the framework of the second axis: supporting youth entrepreneurship, and 64 projects within the framework of the third axis: supporting the social and solidarity economy, and the construction of maternity homes and the rehabilitation and equipping of dispensaries and maternity homes, in addition to the construction, equipping, and operation for two years of a total of 216 units for primary education, with a total financial envelope estimated at approximately 113 million dirhams, in addition to the acquisition of 84 school buses at a total cost of approximately 31 million dirhams, and others.
