Milan – Abdellatif Al-Baz
In an emergency response that reflected the highest degrees of readiness and dedication, the Italian police carried out a sensitive medical mission, which was the transfer of a kidney intended for agriculture from the city of Padua in the north of the country to the capital, Rome, using a "Lamborghini Huracan" car belonging to them, in an exceptional step that sparked admiration.
The car, designed primarily for special security missions, covered a distance of about 500 kilometers in just three hours, at a speed of up to 230 kilometers per hour, to deliver the vital organ on time, saving the life of a patient who was waiting for the operation in a hospital in the capital. Although such missions are often carried out via helicopters, special medical considerations – the details of which have not been disclosed – prompted the specialized team to adopt rapid land transport. This operation confirms the Italian authorities' commitment to using all available capabilities, both traditional and non-traditional, to support the health sector and respond quickly to critical cases, which has received widespread praise locally and internationally.
