In a decisive move that was long awaited, the local authorities in the Batana annex, belonging to the city of Salé, issued a decision to close a cafe that had sparked repeated complaints from residents of the Al-Saqia Al-Hamra neighborhood, due to what they considered "constant disturbance" and "suspicious activities" that were harming security and public tranquility.
This decision came after an effective move by the leader of the ninth administrative annex of Batana, who responded to the appeals and complaints of the residents, and conducted a field investigation into the cafe in question, in coordination with various specialized services, headed by the administrative police, and in close cooperation with the national security, which had previously intervened repeatedly based on reports from the residents. The investigations resulted in submitting a detailed report to the head of the Salé commune, who in turn issued a decision to close the cafe and a number of other cafes that were shown to be a source of concern for the residents, or that violated the legal regulations in force in the exploitation of this type of shops. A number of citizens expressed their great satisfaction with this decision, praising the efforts made by the local authorities, especially the leader of the annex, as well as the head of the Salé commune, and all those who contributed to restoring tranquility to the neighborhood, after years of suffering from the cafe's noise and the influx of strangers on a daily basis, which was causing concern among families. Informed sources confirmed that the decision comes within the framework of a new policy of strictness in dealing with illegal shops, or those that pose a direct threat to public tranquility, at a time when the city's residents aspire to restore the reputation of their neighborhoods and improve the quality of life in them. This process concluded with the actual implementation of closing the cafe under the supervision of the authorities, pending the taking of similar steps against anyone who is proven to have violated the law or disturbed the citizens.
