The "Al-Mustaqbal" residence in the center of Arbaoua Al-Ounat, belonging to the Sidi Bennour province, witnessed a tragic incident on Sunday, October 19th, due to a butane gas leak inside a house, resulting in the death of three people and the transfer of a fourth woman in critical condition to the hospital.
According to local sources, the victims include the head of the family and his daughter, in addition to the daughter's friend who was visiting her. The wife of the head of the family was found alive but in a critical health condition. The four victims were transported by ambulance towards the Sidi Bennour Regional Hospital, where the three people passed away on the way. The hospital was unable to receive the wife due to her serious health condition, and she was referred to the Mohammed V Regional Hospital in El Jadida to receive the necessary treatment. It is noted that the Arbaoua Al-Ounat center does not have an emergency department or adequate medical equipment, which necessitated the transfer of the victims outside the area, amid talk about the delay in the arrival of the ambulance to the scene.
