HIBAPRESS – Mohammed Boudahane
The local authorities in the commune of Barkin, Jerada Province, in coordination with elements of the Auxiliary Forces, a number of authority agents, and in cooperation with the local residents, were able to find a shepherd who had disappeared four days ago in Mount Abrashan, under circumstances that caused great concern among his relatives and the residents of the Amharer district.
The shepherd, named "F.A.", had left his home last Friday to graze his flock in the aforementioned mountain, before his news suddenly stopped, which prompted his family to inform the local authorities, who immediately launched a wide-ranging combing campaign with the participation of the Auxiliary Forces and volunteers from the population, which included the rugged paths of the mountainous region in search of the missing person. This operation, which lasted for four consecutive days of arduous searching, resulted in finding him on Tuesday afternoon about three kilometers from his residence in the Amharer district, in a state of physical exhaustion. Due to the difficult terrain of the region, he was brought down from the mountain on the back of an animal to the main road, where an ambulance belonging to the commune was waiting for him, to be transferred quickly to the regional hospital in Jerada to receive the necessary treatment. The finding of the shepherd left widespread relief among his family and the residents of the district, who appreciated the great efforts made by the local authorities and all the interveners throughout the days of the search, in a scene that embodies the values of solidarity and cooperation between state institutions and citizens.
