The Italian Consulate in Casablanca announced in an official statement its warning to citizens against dealing with intermediaries who claim to provide appointments or employment contracts in exchange for money, confirming that the only authorized entity to receive visa applications is the VFS Global company via its official website.
The Consulate clarified that appointments for family reunification applications and employment contracts with "nulla osta" are available during the month of October, noting that more than 16,000 files have been successfully verified. In the same context, the Consulate revealed the seizure of more than 20,000 forged permits, reminding that forgery is a crime punishable by both Moroccan and Italian law. It affirmed that work visa applications are still under review by the Italian authorities, urging citizens to regularly check their email and not to deal with any unofficial entity. The Consulate concluded its statement by announcing the publication of lists of visa applicants who have not yet received their passports, and called on those concerned to attend on Friday from nine in the morning to twelve noon to receive them.
