HIBAPRESS – Oujda
The Moroccan-Algerian border crossing at the Zouj Beghal border crossing witnessed, on the morning of Wednesday, October 22nd, the release of a new group of 21 young Moroccans who were detained as candidates for migration.
According to a community and human rights source, the file falls within the missing persons and prisoners file, where the number of files that are being followed with great concern in this context exceeds 540 files. The same source pointed out that many young people are still under administrative detention pending the completion of deportation measures, warning of receiving almost daily files that include cases of detainees sentenced to harsh sentences, including 35 files for detained girls, demanding the disclosure of the fate of the missing from both the Moroccan and Algerian sides, stressing the right of families to know the truth and justice. They also demand that the Algerian authorities hand over several bodies of Moroccans, in order to facilitate their handover.
