HIBAPRESS
The police in Tangier, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, managed, this Saturday morning, October 25th, to arrest four people, including two citizens from sub-Saharan African countries, on suspicion of being linked to a criminal network active in organizing illegal immigration and human trafficking.
This security operation was carried out in the rural area of "Madchar Bani Wasin" on the outskirts of Tangier, where the suspects were caught preparing and assembling inflatable boats intended to carry out illegal immigration operations, before the search operation resulted in the discovery of four ready-made inflatable boats in their possession. The search operation also enabled the seizure of another group of inflatable boats that were in the process of being prepared, in addition to a quantity of raw materials, equipment, and tools used in their manufacture. The suspects have been subjected to a judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, in order to identify all the possible extensions of this criminal network, as well as to arrest the remaining alleged accomplices in this criminal activity.
