HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Daher
Demands are increasing from users of the road section connecting National Road No. 7 and the road leading to the Tisseltant commune, on the outskirts of Marrakech, for urgent intervention to repair it and put an end to the state of deterioration that has characterized its condition, after a number of its users have lost hope of its rehabilitation, despite the repeated promises of the Tisseltant commune president to repair it.
This section suffers from the spread of potholes that hinder traffic and threaten drivers' safety, in addition to sewage leakage, flooding of the canal adjacent to the road, as well as the spread of garbage and poor street lighting. These imbalances increase the suffering of road users and exacerbate the risks they face, especially during periods of heavy traffic.
The danger of this situation is not limited to distorting the general landscape, but extends to road safety, as this section has witnessed multiple traffic accidents, including fatal ones, in light of the damage to its infrastructure and the worsening of potholes that make it difficult to navigate. The irony is intensified by the presence of a number of classified tourist establishments along its length, including a five-star hotel, which makes its deteriorated condition a disgraceful facade for the Tisseltant region and an offensive image of Morocco to visitors and tourists.
Given the continuation of this situation, road users and those concerned with local affairs are demanding urgent intervention to repair the section and address the imbalances related to sewage, lighting, and cleanliness, instead of continuing to rely on promises that have not been implemented.
