HIBAPRESS – Shafiq Anouri
Morocco is among the countries witnessing heavy air traffic with France, and for years has been among the top three hubs used for air travel from France, along with Algeria and Spain.
This connection, according to the "Ouest-France" website, is due to historical ties, the presence of Moroccan communities in France, the distances that justify the use of airplanes, attractive prices, in addition to the great tourism interest in the Kingdom. The same source explained that about thirty Moroccan and French cities are connected by direct air routes, and the number of passengers using the France-Morocco route is estimated at about nine million people annually, making it one of the most important international routes for the French side, along with routes to Spain and Algeria. The same source stated that there are multiple options for travelers, from national companies such as "RAM" and Air Arabia Maroc, to French companies such as "Air France" which offers a limited number of flights, in addition to low-cost airlines that today represent an essential element in strengthening traffic between the two countries, including "EasyJet", "Transavia", "Vueling", "Volotea", and "Ryanair", which alone provide about forty air routes. The site confirmed after reviewing the most prominent Moroccan destinations from France, including Marrakech, Casablanca, and Agadir, that direct flights have become well available and offer wide options for travelers wishing to enjoy holidays or travel for professional purposes.
