The National Union of Labor in Morocco praised the historic decision issued by the UN Security Council yesterday evening, Friday, regarding the Moroccan Sahara dispute, which clearly supports the autonomy initiative, considering it the "most viable" solution to settle the issue.
The union said in a statement that its leadership followed "the developments of our territorial unity issue, especially regarding the UN Security Council's vote today, Friday, October 31, 2025, on the resolution supporting the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty, as a serious and credible solution to the fabricated conflict over the Moroccan Sahara." The union, on this occasion, extended "the highest expressions of congratulations and reverence to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect and support him, the engineer and pioneer of the completion of our territorial unity, and to the entire Moroccan people, for this historic diplomatic achievement, which once again embodies the justice of Morocco's cause and the unity of its national territory." The union praised "the contents of the speech delivered by His Majesty the King after the Security Council's approval of the resolution, which embodied the spirit of responsibility and wisdom in managing all stages of this fabricated conflict, including the moment of this diplomatic victory, where he sent messages of welcome to the Moroccans detained in the Tindouf camps in their country, and renewed extending a hand to the Algerian leadership in order to build a phase characterized by brotherhood, cooperation, and good neighborliness." The National Union of Labor in Morocco also commended "this important UN resolution, confirming its firm support for the efforts of His Majesty the King aimed at defending national sovereignty and preserving territorial unity," praising "the continuous work carried out by the Moroccan diplomacy, official, union, and societal, in defense of the first national cause." The National Union of Labor expressed "its pride in the permanent cohesion between the Throne and the people, which forms the solid foundation on which Morocco's march towards development, democracy, and national dignity is strengthened," reiterating its commitment to "fully engaging in defending just national causes, foremost of which is the Moroccan Sahara issue."
