In the context of the high royal directives contained in the speeches of King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Throne Day of the year 2025, as well as in the opening of the first session of the fifth legislative year of the current legislative term, the prefecture of Al Hoceima will witness, tomorrow, Wednesday, the first official meeting of the new governor, Mr. Fouad Haji, within the framework of a consultative meeting aimed at preparing an integrated and comprehensive territorial development program.
This anticipated meeting comes to embody the spirit of openness and consultation called for by the King, during which various local actors, elected officials, representatives of civil society and the private sector will be involved, in order to develop a unified vision for development in the region, that meets the aspirations of the population and takes into account the specificities of each territorial community.
The meeting is expected to be an opportunity to develop a practical road map that defines the priorities of the next phase, in light of the development challenges facing the region, which require collective mobilization and tight coordination between the various sectors and institutions.
It is hoped that the meeting will be a qualitative station that establishes a new phase of territorial management, based on: inclusiveness and genuine listening to all components, including youth, women and civil society organizations, transparency and credibility in diagnosing the development reality, away from formal approaches, and the practical commitment to translate the results of the dialogue into field programs with a tangible impact.
The population of Al Hoceima, who are betting on this new administrative era, looks forward to this meeting being the actual beginning of a renewed development path, that restores the region to its deserved position as a promising destination, historically, touristically and developmentally.
