Nador Al Aaroui Airport has reinforced its infrastructure with a modern air traffic control center, in an important step within the "Airports 2030" strategy implemented by the National Airports Office.
This project aims to enhance safety and improve the efficiency of air traffic flow in the Kingdom, in line with the highest international standards. The new tower is eight stories high, with a height of 26 meters, and is the fruit of purely national expertise, as it has been equipped with the latest communication systems, data processing, and weather monitoring. It was put into operation under ideal conditions, after the completion of the transfer of equipment and technical tests, while ensuring the continuity of services without any interruption. The National Airports Office confirmed that this project is a pivotal step in supporting the economic and tourism development of the region, while ensuring the safety and flow of air flights. The new tower is the beginning of a phase of modernizing air traffic control towers in Morocco, with the program to include Marrakech and Casablanca airports in the future. The statement indicated that Nador Airport received more than one million passengers in 2024, and the new center aspires to keep pace with this continuous growth and provide high-quality services according to the highest standards of innovation and safety. Through this achievement, the National Airports Office renews its commitment to developing the national air transport system and providing infrastructure that keeps pace with the Kingdom's ambitions in the field of safety and operational excellence.
