HIBAPRESS – Art
The song "Ayyur," meaning Moon in Amazigh, emerges as a work of art that reshapes beauty in its finest forms, drawing on the depth of the Ahidous Takzoum art, one of the most important traditional expressions in Moroccan culture. Through this fusion of authenticity and contemporary vision, the song transforms into a visual poem celebrating the Amazigh people, both men and women.
Firstly, "Ayyur" is a praise to the Amazigh woman, the one who combines the radiance of the face and the purity of the soul, and carries the features of a land that has known how to preserve its values and beauty over time. It is also an honor to the free Amazigh man, with what he represents of pride, nobility, and authenticity, in an artistic painting that evokes the features of integrated beauty within the Amazigh society.
The Taymat group was keen during this work to present the identity as it is; pure, proud, and radiant. The presence of traditional Amazigh clothing was an essential element in the clip, with a special focus on the clothing of the Ait Atta tribes, which carries strong connotations of belonging, memory, and pride in roots.
But the value of the song goes beyond the aesthetic dimension, as it carries an artistic and cultural message par excellence: reviving the old Amazigh poems that did not get their share of documentation, and conveying them to future generations with a new spirit that respects and celebrates the origin. It also calls for preserving the authentic Amazigh clothing, which has seen a noticeable decline in recent years, despite being one of the most important symbols of the multiple Moroccan identity.
