An MP exposed the meeting of the parliamentary committee about the possibility of a pharmaceutical company using the Justice and Development Party (PJD) to defend its interests from within Parliament.
Parliamentarians from the majority warned today, Wednesday, during the work of the Social Sectors Committee in the House of Representatives, that Parliament could turn into a battleground for competing companies for deals. Parliamentarians pointed to the danger of this matter being handled, by requesting fact-finding committees to serve the companies concerned, in reference to the demands of the Justice and Development Party's parliamentary group to establish a fact-finding committee on allegations of companies obtaining deals within the framework of conflicts of interest, where the purpose, whether in good or bad faith, is to wage a proxy war on behalf of a company. The parliamentarians concerned also warned that parliamentary work could turn into a platform for settling scores between companies, hinting at the possibility that a foreign company may have instructed one of the opposition groups in the House of Representatives to take the step of demanding a fact-finding committee, which would provide it with various data that some opposition members would rely on.
