HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
During last Saturday night in Agadir, security movements seemed unusual in a popular neighborhood alley in the city. The judicial police squad was awaiting the decisive moment after receiving accurate information provided by the Regional Directorate for the Monitoring of National Territory "D.G.S.T", which indicated suspicious activity by a person promoting drugs among the youth of the neighborhood.
As soon as the suspect approached his home, police officers surprised him with a precise arrest operation, and after a quick search, it turned out that he was carrying doses of cocaine and a number of hallucinogenic pills ready for promotion. However, the thread did not stop at this point, as initial investigations indicated the presence of a main supplier behind these operations.
With the passage of hours, the investigations led to the intended address, and there, inside a house that did not raise suspicion, the security elements managed to overthrow the second suspect, who was hiding a huge quantity of narcotic pills inside his residence. The search operation resulted in the seizure of about 3972 pills of the type "Rivotril", in addition to a significant amount of money that is likely to have been obtained from the trade of these poisons.
The detainees have been placed under custody pending the investigation supervised by the Public Prosecution, to find out the details of this activity and reveal the rest of the possible extensions of this network.
Thus, an ordinary night in Agadir turned into a qualitative operation that aborted the entry of thousands of "Karkoubi" pills into the street, and redrew new boundaries between security vigilance and the tricks of promoters that end them behind the walls of the prison.
