Mohammed Manfalouti – HIBAPRESS
In the midst of the cold and harsh cold, far from the warmth of the family and the warm embrace, there are groups of street people and beggars who suffer in silence, crying without tears and complaining about their situation. With their crisis situation, talk increases about shelter campaigns here and there, perhaps to stop the bleeding of the flow of the homeless, beggars, and the elderly abandoned who have taken the streets and alleys as their shelter, within disturbing scenes that bleed the heart, disfigure the beauty of cities, expose reality, and question the officials of the Ministry of Solidarity.
Here in the city of Settat, from time to time, the concerned authorities launch campaigns described as modest as part of their initiative to "rescue" some humanitarian cases from the victims of the streets in an attempt to shelter them in the "Elderly Home" located at the southern entrance to the city on the level of the Kisr road, within a commendable gesture, but it is not enough compared to what this group suffers from marginalization.
Reality questions every conscience, every official, and every community activist who is active in the same context, about their role in this regard, as well as their work program to address such scenes, which include abandoned children, women in difficult situations, elderly people, and people with special needs?
