HIBAPRESS – A. Muhyawi
The Public Prosecution at the Court of Appeal in Taza ordered, at the beginning of the week, the detention of a man in the local prison in the city, against the backdrop of suspicion of his involvement in a murder described as horrific, which was witnessed by the Inhannahin village belonging to the Ajdir territorial community in the Akrnoul district, Taza province.
According to local sources, the details of the crime date back to last Friday afternoon, when the suspect, who is a family head from the same village, entered into a heated argument with his neighbor due to a dispute between their children. The discussion, which began as an attempt to understand, quickly got out of control, turning into a dispute that ended with the accused stabbing the victim with a knife in the left side of the abdomen, which caused his death. The incident mobilized the Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities in Ajdir and Akrnoul, where the security elements began an intensive combing operation that led to the siege and arrest of the perpetrator a few hours after the crime was committed. He was taken directly to the judicial center of the Gendarmerie, where he was investigated before being presented to the attention of the Attorney General. After studying the file, the Attorney General decided to prosecute the suspect on charges of premeditated murder, with the order to detain him in prison pending pre-trial detention, pending his presentation to the judicial body and the commencement of the trial procedures.
