HIBAPRESS – Follow-up
In a new development in the case of the streamer Elias El Malki, the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in El Jadida decided to prosecute him on 22 serious charges, placing him in pre-trial detention in the local prison in El Jadida pending his appearance before the judiciary.
The charges against El Malki are divided into a group of misdemeanors that the Public Prosecution considered offensive to public order, including publishing false claims with the intention of harming private life, insult and defamation against a person or organized body, in addition to charges related to public indecency through deliberate nudity, and incitement to discrimination and hatred. He is also pursued on other charges such as misdemeanors falling within the framework of corrupting youth and prostitution, and corruption, in addition to possession and consumption of drugs. El Malki was placed in pre-trial detention after the end of the period of police custody to which he was subjected based on a number of complaints, and it was decided to present him to the court in a state of arrest given the seriousness of the actions attributed to him and the complexity of the files associated with him. It is noted that one of the transport professionals associations withdrew from prosecuting Elias El Malki, but this was not sufficient to release him due to the presence of other charges and follow-ups.
