Tebboune failed to extract a favorable position for Algeria from the president of Sierra Leone on the Moroccan Sahara

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune failed to extract a position favorable to his country’s ambitions on the Moroccan Sahara from Sierra Leonean President Julius Madabio, who recently completed a brief visit to Algeria.
The Algerian regime, as usual, tried to lead the Sierra Leonean president to adopt the proposal of the military state concerning the Moroccan Sahara, but Julius Madabio shocked Tebboune and objectively expressed his country’s position in in favor of the efforts of the UN and only the UN, a political solution according to the proposal presented by Morocco in 2007 concerning the granting of Autonomy to the Southern Provinces.
The President of Sierra Leone said: “Our country supports the efforts of UN envoy Staffan de Mistura, as well as the political process in accordance with Security Council Resolutions adopted since 2007, when the Kingdom proposed the Moroccan Autonomy Plan for the Moroccan Sahara.
