The primary court in Sidi Ifni issued a verdict mid-this week, fining a Makhzeni affiliated with the auxiliary forces 4000 dirhams in favor of the injured party, and 500 dirhams for the court's fund, after his responsibility for placing a large Yajoura in the public street was established, which caused material damage to a citizen's car.
The details of the incident go back to June 7, 2025, when the Makhzeni placed a huge Yajoura on the sidewalk in front of his house, which led to the damage of citizens' properties and the obstruction of traffic, in addition to verbal and physical assault on the journalist who tried to document the incident, before the security intervened to contain the situation.
The court reconsidered the case after the Makhzeni appealed the first ruling, which had been issued without his presence at the hearings.
The case highlighted the Makhzeni's continued attempts to install other concrete pieces in the public domain, which reflects his disregard for the law and the rights of neighbors.
The ruling highlights the judiciary's commitment to protecting the public domain and the safety of citizens, and confirms that any violation of legal authorities will be met with appropriate legal accountability.
