The Provincial Judicial Police Department in the city of Tetouan has opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, on Tuesday, December 2nd, to determine the circumstances of foiling an attempt to smuggle 12 kilograms of cocaine at the Bab Sebta border crossing.
Border control procedures carried out jointly by the National Security and Customs services enabled the seizure of a foreign-registered car driven by a Moroccan citizen. The search revealed that he possessed these large quantities of cocaine intended for smuggling into Moroccan territory. The suspect, aged 30, has been subjected to judicial investigation procedures to uncover all the potential extensions of this case, as well as to identify its links to international drug and psychotropic substance smuggling networks, in addition to arresting all those involved in this criminal activity.
