In an important step towards improving the health sector in the Nador region, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced the start of a large-scale mobilization process to complete the equipment of the new regional hospital center in the city of Nador. This initiative comes within the ongoing efforts to modernize and develop the health infrastructure in the Kingdom, especially in areas that need to strengthen medical care services.
Providing a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) device
The Ministry intends, through an open international tender, to equip the new hospital with a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) device, which is a vital device that contributes to improving the accuracy of medical diagnoses. This device is one of the essential tools that contribute to the early detection of many diseases, which increases the effectiveness of treatment and contributes to raising the level of health care provided to citizens.
Details of the international tender
The cost of equipping the hospital amounted to about 13 million and 200 thousand dirhams, which is the amount that will be allocated to provide all modern medical equipment. It is scheduled that the offers submitted by international companies will be opened on January 13, 2026, at the headquarters of the Procurement Coordination Cell at the Ministry of Health in Rabat. Companies are required to provide a temporary guarantee of 132,000 dirhams, in order to ensure the seriousness of the competitors in the process.
Field visit to view the site
As part of the regulatory procedures, the Ministry has set December 29, 2025, as the date for a mandatory field visit to the new hospital center. The visit aims to view the site and ensure its suitability for technical and administrative requirements, and to ensure that the work complies with the standards stipulated in the public procurement decree.

The MRI device is a qualitative addition to medical services in the Nador region, as it will greatly contribute to enhancing the hospital's ability to provide accurate medical diagnoses.
