HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The National Union of the National Airports Office has requested the General Manager of the office, Adil El Fakir, to generalize the benefit of the transportation allowance to include all new employees joining the airports and central directorates.
The union, affiliated with the General Union of Moroccan Workers, considered in an official letter addressed to El Fakir that generalizing the transportation allowance has become necessary to ensure the principle of fairness and equal opportunities within the airports office. The union body recalled that it had previously corresponded with the administration last June regarding the activation of the procedure for studying requests for transportation allowance, a correspondence that was followed, according to the source, by the issuance of a memorandum from the Human Capital Directorate on September 29, 2025, which defines the terms and procedures for processing requests. The union clarified that this memorandum did not include the new groups of cadres and employees, despite the passage of more than a year since the last group benefited from this allowance, adding that the new joiners face "multiple difficulties" at the beginning of their professional career, both in terms of adapting to working conditions within the airports and in terms of bearing the daily transportation costs. The National Union of the National Airports Office pointed out that this group faces great challenges "in silence and persistence," noting that generalizing the allowance would support the professional stability of new employees, strengthen their affiliation to the institution, and alleviate the financial burdens on them during the first phase of their career. The union's letter emphasized that expanding the circle of beneficiaries aligns with the spirit of equality within the National Airports Office and maintains fairness among employees who work in similar situations, requesting El Fakir to give his instructions to expedite the activation of this allowance and include the names of the new joiners among the beneficiaries, with a view to generalizing it completely.
