The entry into service of the renovated sections of the highway linking Casablanca and Mohammedia has contributed to a noticeable improvement in traffic flow, after a period of works that included the expansion of lanes and the modernization of the infrastructure.
In this regard, a number of road users confirmed that the traffic disruptions that were recorded daily on this section have clearly decreased, providing less travel time and greater comfort for drivers, especially during peak hours, which previously experienced severe congestion.
The renovation came through the addition of new lanes in both directions, in addition to the construction of technical facilities that allow the diversion of those coming from Casablanca towards their destinations in the direction of Mohammedia more smoothly.
These facilities have helped to separate the complex traffic movements that were causing the slowing down of vehicle movement, which had a positive impact on the flow of vehicles and reduced cases of sudden stops and congestion.
Those in charge of the project indicate that the opening of the renovated section was completed months ahead of schedule, which reflects the rapid pace of work and the supervisors' commitment to the necessity of improving the quality of travel between the two cities.
