The Government Council approved, on Thursday, a draft decree regarding the application of value added tax stipulated in the third section of the General Tax Code, presented by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the Budget.
This concerns draft decree number 2.25.1041 amending and supplementing decree number 2.06.574 issued on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1427 (December 31, 2006) regarding the application of value added tax stipulated in the third section of the General Tax Code.
The Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, the official government spokesperson, Mostafa Baitas, explained during a press conference following the weekly meeting of the Council, that the draft of this decree aims to amend and supplement decree number 2.06.574 issued on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1427 (December 31, 2006) regarding the value added tax stipulated in the third section of the General Tax Code, following the measures that were included regarding this tax under the provisions of Article 7 of the Finance Law No. 50.25 for the financial year 2026.
