HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ouldali
The Al Hoceima Port Authority announced today, Saturday, the temporary closure of the port starting from midnight on Friday, due to the expected bad weather conditions on the coasts of the province.
The port authority's announcement stated that the weather forecast for the Al Hoceima sea front anticipates strong winds that may reach speeds that pose a risk to the safety of maritime navigation and fishing boats, which necessitated this precautionary decision. The port authority called on all owners and sailors of fishing boats to strictly adhere to this decision and not risk going out to sea, to avoid any potential accidents that may result from the unstable weather conditions. This measure comes within the framework of ensuring the safety of sailors and protecting lives and property, until the weather conditions improve and maritime navigation returns to its normal state.
