The media scene witnessed widespread interaction in the past hours after the statement of Hamza Tayachi, correspondent of the Tunisian Al-Hiwar channel, where he came out in a live intervention to clarify his position regarding his previous statements about the infrastructure in Morocco.
Tayachi confirmed that his previous speech was misunderstood, stressing that he did not intend to offend Morocco or belittle its organizational capabilities. In the same statement, the Tunisian correspondent offered his sincere apology to the Moroccan people, expressing his great respect for Morocco and Moroccans. He explained that the controversy that accompanied his statements resulted from an inaccurate interpretation of the speech, confirming that what he meant did not reach the audience correctly, which prompted him to come out to correct the image. Hamza Tayachi also praised the organization of the African Cup of Nations, describing it as fantastic, and praised the stadiums and infrastructure of Morocco, which he said, are up to the world level. He confirmed that Morocco has once again proven its ability to host major events, directing at the end of his speech a message of appreciation and respect to all Moroccans and wishing great success for the continental event.
