The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidane, confirmed yesterday, Thursday, in Settat, that the establishment of the "Seoul" factory in the "LOGINTEK" industrial and logistics zone in Settat, embodies the confidence of foreign investors in Moroccan competence.
Zidane highlighted in a statement to the Moroccan News Agency on the sidelines of a visit to the "LOGINTEK" industrial and logistics zone, to follow up on the progress made in establishing the "Seoul" factory, the leading South Korean company in the field of manufacturing environmentally friendly lollipops, that this project embodies "recognition of Moroccan competencies and the desire to integrate young people into value chains, within a sustainable industrial development dynamic."
He explained that this project is the result of a promotional visit organized in South Korea in November 2024, which provided an opportunity to highlight the qualifications available in the Kingdom and enhance its position as a reference investment destination.
The Minister pointed out that during this visit, a partnership agreement was concluded in South Korea, followed by several meetings aimed at presenting to the investor the main qualifications and advantages that characterize the Kingdom, including, in particular, stability, the quality of infrastructure, and the qualifications of its young competencies.
He continued that these factors strengthened the decision to establish this industrial project in Morocco, highlighting that it will enable the company to market its products to a global market estimated at about 2.5 billion consumers.
According to Zidane, this project is expected to provide 300 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect jobs, in addition to enabling the strengthening of the integration of Moroccan competencies into industrial value chains. In this regard, he pointed out that a group of young Moroccan engineers are already receiving special training abroad in preparation for the start of production operations at the new factory.
For his part, Samir Falali Chahd, CEO of ZINAFRIK Développement group, the holder of the "LOGINTEK" project, highlighted that this industrial zone contributes to enhancing Morocco's attractiveness to foreign investors, pointing out that the project was designed as an integrated industrial, logistics, and technological platform, aimed at meeting the needs of national and international investors.
He pointed out that the site currently includes companies of different nationalities, adding that this diversity reflects the importance of the Kingdom as a reference industrial and logistics center, offering an integrated, modern, and connected system.
"LOGINTEK" is the first integrated private industrial and logistics zone in Morocco, bringing together in one place production infrastructure, logistics platforms, administrative services, and customized innovation solutions.
The "LOGINTEK" zone is located in the heart of the Casablanca-Settat region, giving it an exceptional strategic location. It is located about 30 kilometers from Mohammed V International Airport, and 50 kilometers from the port of Casablanca, which allows the zone direct access to the most important global markets. It is also located near the A7 motorway and national road number 9, and a railway line that passes along the zone from the north.
This proximity to the most important transport infrastructure ensures logistical smoothness at various levels: local, national, and international, which contributes to reducing transit times and costs, and enhancing the competitiveness of companies located in this industrial zone.
The "LOGINTEK" industrial zone relies on an integrated model designed to simplify and accelerate industrial and logistical operations. This model includes a dry port under customs control, a modern logistics zone, a TIR area dedicated to international road carriers, a technopole that supports innovation, as well as a single window that brings together customs and the National Office for Food Safety Products, banks, insurance companies, and shipping agents.
The zone also includes a range of structural services, including a data center, a business center, a multi-specialty clinic, a hotel, a shopping center, and a mosque, providing an integrated and efficient work environment.
"LOGINTEK", which already hosts leading industrial companies from different countries, aspires to create between 12,000 and 15,000 direct jobs, thus confirming its strategic role in promoting economic and industrial development in the Casablanca-Settat region.
