American President Donald Trump on Friday called on the Department of Justice to "expose" the Democrats who collaborated with Jeffrey Epstein by publishing documents related to the man convicted of sex crimes.
Trump wrote via his platform "Truth Social": "A million more pages about Epstein have been discovered. The Department of Justice is obliged to devote all its time to this scam orchestrated by the Democrats." He added that "the Democrats are the ones who collaborated with Epstein, not the Republicans. Let's publish all their names, expose them, and get back to work for our country!" He added, "The radical left does not want us to talk about the successes of Trump and the Republicans, but only about Epstein who died long ago. It's a new persecution campaign!" without mentioning the names of the Democrats mentioned in the documents. Last week, the Department of Justice began publishing documents and photos from the investigation into the Epstein case, the wealthy financier who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking with underage girls. The latest documents, published on Tuesday, include many references to Trump, including documents detailing his trips on Epstein's private plane.
