The Administrative Council of the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region approved, on Saturday, the draft regional work program and budget for the year 2026.
This took place during the ordinary session of the Administrative Council, which was chaired by the Minister of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports, Mohamed Saad Barada, in the presence of, in particular, the Wali of the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region and the Governor of the Oued Ed-Dahab province, Ali Khalil, and a number of elected officials, and members of the Administrative Council of this academy. The Administrative Council also approved the model internal regulations for public education and training institutions, the draft performance report, and the draft regional program for continuous training for the year 2026. In a speech on the occasion, the Minister affirmed that this session provides an opportunity for direct communication and opening a constructive dialogue on ways to promote educational affairs at the level of this region, praising the efforts made by the members of the Administrative Council in order to keep pace with and support educational reform projects at the regional, provincial and local levels. He stressed that this critical stage in the path and time of reform requires standing on the progress made in implementing reform projects at the regional level and accelerating the pace of implementation while imparting an institutional and sustainable character to the structural reform programs. He highlighted on the same occasion that the Ministry seeks to focus on a set of priority projects for which significant financial envelopes have been allocated within its sectoral budget, which require the concerted efforts of actors and partners at the level of this region in order to implement them effectively and efficiently in the field. Barada explained that this is done by working to reduce school waste within a comprehensive approach to address the phenomenon, based on the early monitoring of dropout cases and the activation of alert cells, and the gradual expansion of the model of leading institutions in the primary and secondary preparatory cycles, which the Ministry is betting on as a fundamental entry point to improve educational performance within classrooms after the assessments carried out on this model demonstrated its effectiveness in improving the quality of learning. In the same context, he stressed the importance of expanding the school offer and the partial or comprehensive rehabilitation of educational institutions and boarding schools, and reducing overcrowding through the construction of new educational institutions and the expansion of existing institutions. The meeting was marked by the presentation of the acting director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region, Aida Bouknin, of a detailed presentation on the interim outcome of the implementation of the roadmap and the implementation of the operational framework programs for the years 2026/2025, in addition to the two draft work program and budget for the year 2026, as well as the draft regional program for continuous training for 2026. The work of this Council witnessed the signing of performance efficiency contract appendices between the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports and the Regional Academy for Education and Training, and between the Regional Academy for Education and Training and the two regional directorates of Oued Ed-Dahab and Ausserd, in addition to the signing of other partnership and cooperation agreements that aim to achieve excellence, quality and success for the student and the Moroccan school in general.
