HIBAPRESS – Mohamed El Harouali
The city of Marrakech hosted, on the morning of Saturday, January 3, 2026, the regular session of the National Council of the Democratic Justice Union, with the participation of representatives from various regions of the Kingdom.
The union stated that the convening of this session falls within the framework of an organizational dynamic aimed at defending the demands of the employees of the justice sector, noting that it comes in a context characterized by a number of transformations and challenges facing the sector. The agenda included a discussion of a number of professional and organizational developments related to justice workers, in addition to evaluating the outcome of trade union work during the previous period, and exploring the prospects and orientations of the next stage. The union considered that the National Council constitutes the highest decision-making body between conferences, as it undertakes the task of drawing the general orientations of trade union work, and also represents a space for dialogue and exchange of views between representatives of the regions and elected officials within various organizational structures. The interventions of the opening session emphasized the importance of unifying the trade union ranks, with a call to strengthen coordination between the regional structures in a way that supports the advocacy for the files of justice employees with the supervisory authorities, according to a participatory and responsible approach. At the conclusion of the proceedings, Youssef Aidi, the National Secretary of the Democratic Justice Union, intervened, providing clarifications on the issues raised and interacting with the questions of the council members, stressing the National Office's keenness to maintain continuous communication with the base and serious engagement in addressing the outstanding demands files and defending rights within the framework of institutional dialogue. The work of the session concluded by emphasizing that its outputs will be crowned with organizational recommendations and decisions that aim to direct trade union work during the next stage and strengthen the union's position within the justice system.
