Within the framework of continuous care for the issues of the population and serious listening to their concerns, the rapid and responsible interaction shown by Idriss Rubio, the Governor of Sidi Slimane Province, is widely praised by local public opinion, especially regarding social and urban files related to the safety and dignity of citizens.
In this context, Governor Rubio held a communication meeting this morning, Monday, January 5, 2026, with a number of civil society فعاليات on the West Bank of Sidi Slimane city, which was devoted to discussing ways to find a practical and effective solution to the problem of building permits in the western region, in light of the difficult situation created by the recent rainfall, and what it left behind of damaged houses and others on the verge of collapse, which pose a real danger to the safety of the families living in them. The meeting, which was marked by a spirit of responsibility and cooperation, was an opportunity to present the various constraints that the population suffers from, as the Governor affirmed his full commitment to urgent intervention, announcing the holding of a meeting in the near future that includes the Urban Agency and all concerned stakeholders, with the aim of developing practical and feasible solutions, especially with regard to the houses damaged by the recent rains. The Governor also stressed the establishment of a mixed committee that will be concerned with conducting a precise and comprehensive census of the damaged houses in the western region, in preparation for taking appropriate decisions within the framework of respect for the law and taking into account the public interest, while giving priority to protecting lives and ensuring conditions of decent living. This rapid interaction and participatory approach adopted by the Governor of the province embodies a model of territorial administration that is close to the concerns of citizens, and keen on turning legitimate demands into concrete actions on the ground, which has been met with great welcome and approval by the population and civil society فعاليات.
