HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The authorities of Al Haouz Province, in coordination with the Civil Defense, were able to rescue a critical health case suffering from serious respiratory complications, which required urgent intervention, in the Tizki village of the Warkane community last Sunday.
According to local data, Civil Defense teams, accompanied by local authorities, went to the scene immediately after being notified of the patient's health situation. They faced great difficulties in reaching the village due to rockslides and accumulated dirt caused by the bad weather the province has been experiencing recently, which prevented ambulances from entering the area. In the face of this situation, the intervention teams were forced to continue on foot, carrying the necessary medical equipment and urgent medications. First aid was provided to the patient at the scene, in an intervention described as professional and rapid, which contributed to stabilizing his health condition. In the early hours of Monday morning, the intervention teams, with the support of machinery and a bulldozer, continued the work of removing stones and dirt that were obstructing traffic, which enabled the temporary opening of the route and the safe transport of the patient to the field military hospital in the Warkane community, in order to subject him to the necessary treatments and medical follow-up. This intervention reflects the level of readiness and coordination between the various interveners, and also highlights the efforts made to guarantee the right to treatment for citizens residing in mountainous and remote areas, despite the natural challenges and the difficulty of access, especially in light of the climatic fluctuations experienced by Al Haouz Province.
