The Commercial Court of First Instance in Casablanca presents a practical model of how the judiciary can become an active element in supporting investment and improving the business climate, when judicial management is combined with governance and efficiency. Its results at the beginning of 2025 revealed record revenues of 124 billion centimes, indicating the dynamism that has come to characterize this vital judicial facility.
This figure does not only reflect the increase in the volume of judicial transactions, but also highlights the diversity of revenue sources related to court fees, deposit and execution rights, fines, insurance, and the commercial register, which indicates increasing economic activity and the pivotal role the court plays in keeping pace with the transformations in the economic fabric of the economic capital.
At the judicial performance level, the court recorded the issuance of more than 102,000 judgments during the period between 2023 and 2025, with a rate of approximately 95 percent of the total cases registered, a figure that reflects a tangible development in the speed of resolving commercial disputes and enhances legal security as one of the basic pillars for attracting investment and stabilizing transactions.
This development is due to the adoption of a modern management vision, which is based on the organized conduct of sessions, careful monitoring of procedures, and effective coordination between the various components of the court, which has enabled the reduction of deadlines, the improvement of the quality of judicial services, and the establishment of the principles of transparency and discipline in daily work.
The court was also distinguished by a qualitative judicial effort with an international dimension, represented by the recognition of a foreign procedure for the liquidation of an Italian company, and the arrangement of its legal effects on the company's assets in Morocco, in a step that reflects the openness of the Moroccan commercial judiciary to international standards, and its ability to interact with cross-border disputes in a way that serves the confidence of foreign investors.
In the same context, the Casablanca Commercial Court continues to play an essential role in addressing corporate difficulties files, and activating mediation and reconciliation mechanisms, which contributes to maintaining the continuity of companies, protecting jobs, and ensuring a balance of relations between various economic actors.
Through these results, the experience of the Commercial Court in Casablanca confirms that the judiciary, when managed with a modern and effective vision, can form a real pillar for investment, and consolidate its position as an element of trust and stability within the national economic system.
