In an escalatory move reflecting the growing concern within health circles, the regional office of the National Union of Health in Oujda-Angad (UMT) sent a strongly worded warning letter to both the regional delegate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the director of Al-Farabi Regional Hospital, under the supervision of the regional director of health in the Oriental region. The union letter, issued in light of the climatic fluctuations witnessed in our country, warned that Al-Farabi Regional Hospital, instead of being a safe haven for dealing with potential victims in emergencies, has itself become a "source of danger" that threatens its users and health workers.
The union office revealed a "tragic" situation that it witnessed in the radiology department, where rainfall and snowmelt this morning led to dangerous water leaks that reached electrical wires and sensitive biomedical equipment. The statement described this situation as a "reckless adventure" that could lead to electrical contact that threatens lives at any moment. The letter did not stop at the infrastructure limits, but the National Union of Health recorded a sharp decline in working conditions: the deterioration of the working conditions of health women and men within the various departments; Therapeutic services: the weakness of equipment and the lack of necessary supplies and emergency medications in the institution; Maintenance: failure to respond to previous alerts regarding the repair of roofs and water passages. The regional office concluded its letter by considering it a final "alarm siren" for officials, stressing that any delay in taking urgent measures to remedy the situation, away from patchwork solutions, is a disregard for the safety of citizens and health frameworks. The union also announced that it reserves the right to take all the militant and legal decisions required by the situation to protect health workers.
