HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
This Wednesday afternoon, January 7th, the body of a young man in his thirties was found in the Souss Valley, after being swept away by the waters of the rugged valley, following his disappearance in the area of Oulad Brahim, near the city of Taroudant.
Local authorities have launched a search campaign this week for the missing in the valleys and waterways, following the stormy rains that the region witnessed, which ranged between 80 and 120 mm, and a red weather alert was issued. According to local sources, the rescue and security teams worked to reach the victim's body and secure the surroundings of the valley, pending the completion of investigations to determine the exact circumstances of the death. The discovery of the young man's body is the third of its kind this week, two days after the discovery of the bodies of a female student and her sixty-year-old father who were swept away by the waters of the Souss Valley.
