Jamal Khalouq, the governor of Berrechid province, has begun taking the necessary legal measures to suspend Kamal Cherkaoui from his duties as head of the Daroua commune, with the aim of initiating the dismissal procedure against him.
This decision comes based on a ruling issued by the Court of Cassation during the past September, which ruled against accepting the appeal submitted by the person concerned.
The administrative judiciary had ruled on the case by accepting the appeal in terms of form regarding Cherkaoui's candidacy, with the cancellation of the results that resulted in his victory in the electoral seat for district number 24, during the communal elections of 2021.
This final ruling made the legal situation of the president concerned unsound, which necessitated the activation of the procedures stipulated by law.
It is expected that these developments will be reflected in the management of the affairs of the Daroua commune, pending the completion of the remaining legal and administrative procedures, in accordance with the provisions of the laws governing local authorities.
