HIBAPRESS – E. Al-Samlali
Hali Rahbani, the youngest son of the artist Fairuz, passed away after a long life challenged by severe health and human difficulties, which he lived away from the spotlight, under the care of a mother who chose to be his warm embrace and safe haven until the last moment.
Hali was born in 1958, suffering from mental and motor disabilities, at a time when medical expectations did not give him much hope. But the power of motherhood, which distinguished Fairuz, was stronger than all medical assessments. The care and affection she gave him made his care a personal cause and an absolute priority, and his growth on the rhythm of silent love that is immeasurable and unannounced. He did not know fame or the spotlight, and his name was not part of the art scene, but he remained strongly present in the human biography of Fairuz, as another symbol of the mother who sang for peace and tenderness and lived this every day inside her home. Few pictures published in recent years showed this exceptional relationship, confirming that isolation was not an absence, but a choice for protection and dignity. The last picture shared by Rima Rahbani, which brought together Ziad and Hali in one shot, summarized everything: brotherhood, loss, and the memory of a house that lived love in silence.
