Shipping company cancels crossings to Morocco, penalizing its customers

A few weeks ago, the “Marhaba” operation was launched to welcome the Moroccan diaspora residing abroad, an operation for which the Moroccan and Spanish authorities mobilized significant human and logistical resources.
Since the beginning of the “Marhaba” operation, hundreds of thousands of Moroccans from Europe have started crossing the Mediterranean Sea to the territory of the Kingdom, using various means of transport, including reservations on the ferries of shipping companies.
Among the companies active on the maritime lines between Spain and Morocco, we find the company GNV, which had previously published numerous announcements regarding its summer crossings to Morocco, at prices varying according to the destinations.
For months, a large number of Moroccans had booked with GNV to take advantage of summer trips, before the company surprised them a few days ago by announcing the cancellation of its crossings to Morocco, without providing further details.
This decision has angered the Moroccan diaspora abroad, as this cancellation has compromised their interests, especially since booking with other companies has now become an almost impossible task due to the exorbitant prices of tickets available at the last minute.
