HIBAPRESS
Authorities in the U.S. state of New Mexico issued an arrest warrant on Friday for actor and director Timothy Busfield, an Emmy Award winner, to face charges of child sexual assault.
The arrest warrant followed the filing of a criminal complaint by an investigator in the Albuquerque Police Department supporting the charge, where the child reported that Busfield touched him inappropriately. These actions are believed to have occurred during the filming of the series "The Cleaning Lady," which he directed and acted in. According to the complaint, the first incident occurred when the child was seven years old, with Busfield touching him three or four times, while the second incident occurred when he was eight years old, with five or six more instances. The complaint clarified that the child's mother informed child protective services that the assault occurred between November 2022 and the spring of 2024. Busfield's lawyer and agent did not respond to requests for comment sent via email on Friday.
